How does it works& Why to buy it
Sit-ups can strain the spine, and only work a portion of the muscles in your core, which is why various ab trainers and core exercisers are popular.
So what makes the Ab Trainer Chair unique? Its combination of comfort, full 200° range of motion, and high degree of neck and back support.
Total Core totally didn't impress my Fitness System

Pros:The rollers give me good form; I feel the crunches
Cons:No neck support; I'm on the floor
The Bottom Line: I wouldn't spend $140 only to have to hold my neck with my hands.
My friend gave me the Total Core Fitness System in exchange for our spa. Well I would have given her the spa anyway but she’s large and getting on the floor is not something she was enjoying. It looked good at first glance. I don't hate it but there are better ones ab systems on the market.
What is the Total Core Machine supposed to do?
As an abdominal machine that works the entire core it is supposed to give me a workout without stressing my back or neck. I love to do crunches and have consistently said they were great and cost nothing; however, unless your form is perfect they are not so great. As I get older I’m finding I like tools and props. The Total Core Machine gives me some of what I like.
It comes with a meal plan (of course); a slim down DVD; a quick start guide and a balance ball which is great. I had one already so I told my friend to keep hers but if you don’t have one they are nice to have.
The Total Core (There are other "systems" with similar or the same name but this is The Total Core System which can only be bought online.) has a maximum user weight of 265 pounds and is about 30 inches long by 17 inches wide by 20 inches high.
It is lightweight and portable and comes with a one-year warranty.
How it works
I sit down on The Total Core which really feels different than most other machines although I have seen roller type pads before. all the other machines on which I have been. As soon as I sit down on the seat which is thickly padded I feel the Total Core sort of support my back. My back just fits right into it.
There is what is called progressive power coils. If you have ever done this movement on the floor: lie down with your arms behind you and sit up. There is a good chance you won’t be able to in one move or at all. That’s because your back isn’t strong enough i.e. your core. The Total Core allows me to go forward without having to struggle with that point while lying down where I might get stuck. That isn’t to say this is the only machine that achieves this. It isn’t.
The seat is adjustable but remember it is on the floor!
I feel the crunch immediately and after 25 or 50 crunches feel as if I’ve given my abs and back a nice workout. I have one major issue with this machine which is going to make it a not recommended machine for me. We are told that it will support our necks it doesn't. I have an old neck injury and feel it during crunches if my form isn't perfect. The Total Core gives me good form but I still have to hold my neck in the same traditional way I would doing crunches. The back is not high enough to support the neck (unless you are very very little).
If you don't have problems with your neck and want to pay $140 including shipping then it works but I am not giving this a good rating though it is kind of fun to use.
